Worship.
Worship is at the heart of our life together at St Lawrence.
We gather each Sunday to pray for the world, listen and respond to God’s word, and worship freely in a way that honours our heritage whilst encountering God’s presence in new and fresh ways.
Sunday worship.
9:30am Every Sunday
Typically our monthly services last an hour:
1st Sunday of the month - Messy Church- fun, activities, crafts and friendship for the whole family, as we worship God together, and learn something new about Jesus, and his love for us, and enjoy delicious refreshments after the service.
2nd Sunday of the month - Morning Worship - informal and meaningful worship of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, through singing contemporary songs and favourite hymns, reading God's word, listening to a short talk, praying for the needs of the world, and being encouraged in our faith for the coming week. Refreshments are enjoyed after the service.
3rd Sunday of the month - Morning Worship - as above
4th Sunday of the month - Holy Communion - a little more traditional while still being relaxed and informal, using the Anglican Liturgy, where we worship together, read and listen to God's word, pray for the needs of the world and gather around the table remembering the love and sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and his life given for us so that we might have life in him. Refreshments are enjoyed after the service.
5th Sunday the month - morning worship - as above
We are introducing special services throughout the year, and hold baptisms on set Sundays during the year.
Praise.
Praise is an important part of our worship. We sing a blend of much-loved hymns and worship songs, helping us express our praise, thanksgiving, and trust in God.
Whether you sing every word or simply listen and reflect, there is a place for you.
Prayer.
Prayer is central to our worship and life as a church. Throughout our services and gatherings, we bring before God the needs of our community, our world, and one another.
If you would like someone to pray with you, we would love to do so.
What to expect
Coming to church for the first time, or for the first time in a while, can feel a little unfamiliar.
We'd love to help you feel at home.

Our service begins at 9:30am, so feel free to arrive from 9:15 am and settle in.
You'll find us La Route de L'Eglise, (La Grande Route de St. Laurent ), with parking nearby. Someone from our welcome team will be there to greet you and help you find your way around.

We celebrate all families, and children and young people are a key part of our Church and community. Our vision for our families and children is to see them enjoy Church and be excited to grow in faith, knowing they are loved by God.
This is why on the first Sunday of the month, our Messy Church service is all about fun, activities, crafts and friendship for the whole family, as we worship God together, and learn something new about Jesus, and His love for us.
Currently, we do not have children’s groups on the other Sundays. Mid-week, we run our toddler groups Smarties (every Tuesday in term time, 9:30am-11am) and have a welcome/ warm area for parents and children to come and relax any time, after school, to enjoy our Lending Library.
Throughout the year, we also run other family events and seasonal celebrations, which you can find on our Events page.

Do stay around after the service if you can.
There is always tea, coffee, and a chance to chat. It's a great opportunity to meet people, catch up with friends, and get to know the church community.
